Adults Directory Listings Policy Statement

The directory is intended to be a resource for the community, listing a range of services provided within, to and by the communities in Peterborough. The content is therefore permitted to be wide in nature however the following three principles are set out:

1. The council does not accept listing for services which duplicate our statutory responsibilities for support. Such functions include:

a. Care Act Assessment,

b. Mental Capacity Act Assessment,

c. Carers Assessment and Support Planning,

d. Continuing Healthcare Screening,

e. Hospital Discharge Planning.

This is because we would always expect the council or an accredited commissioned alternative to be the default pathway for this support. Our wider information, advice and guidance offer should ensure that these routes are easily accessed, without the need for third party replication.

2. The council takes a feed directly from the Care Quality Commission for all regulated services in the Peterborough area. Regulated services from outside of Peterborough are accepted only where we can find evidence of the appropriate CQC registration. Providers from outside the Peterborough area must provide a link/widget for their CQC registration as part of their listing in order to be accepted for an active listing on the directory.

3. Listings for services that attract a fee for the clients must clearly note that within the directory entry, alongside an indication of the level of fees expected. This can be via a link to a schedule of services and fees on the providers website. We ask that the provider covers all services offered within a single entry on the directory and takes responsibility for updating the entry each time that services or schedules of charging change.

By submitting content the provider takes responsibility for ensuring that submitted content is and remains accurate, true and up to date.
