Getting there

So, once you've found something to do, somewhere to go or someone to talk to, have you thought about how you're going to get there?

Here's how to find which bus or train will take you where you want to go.

If you live in a place, for example in a rural area, where public transport is more limited, and you want to take part in a group activity, such as scouts or other clubs, Community Transport could be worth checking out. There are nine community transport schemes in Derbyshire and you need to get in touch with the group in the area where you live. For details go to www.derbyshirect.com

If you're using public transport alone or with friends, check out our safety tips.

Travel with a b_line card

Aged 11 to 13? You can get a b_line1 card that proves that you still get a cheaper child fare on buses and trains.

Aged 14 to 18? You can get a b_line2 card that gets you to half fare travel on local buses and trains. See where you can travel to in and around Derbyshire for half fare with your card on the b_line travel FAQs pages.

You can also use your card to get discounts at lots of shops and services. And b_line cards issued after September 2007 can also be used as your library card.

If you've not got a b_line card call 08 456 058 058 or download an application form to get your card.
