Wolverhampton Creative Embroiderers aims to encourage, inspire, nurture, facilitate and educate the skills of embroidery and textile art, particularly among communities in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. We educate and develop the skills of our members in embroidery and related textile art and promote recreational activities, friendship and mutual support among our members.
We are very pleased to welcome new members to our Group. You can join with little or no experience and you will soon see that we are pleased to help and to share ideas. Our Group is long-established and its members are an enthusiastic group of embroiderers with a range of textile interests which span a wide range of techniques; some members are beginners who have never tried a particular technique; others have more experience in some areas through City and Guilds.
You may like to attend lectures at first and then perhaps take part in a workshop later. Sometimes members bring to lectures the work they did at a recent workshop. From these samples you will gain some idea of the range of ability and activity.
