Grocery Aid
Anyone who has worked in the grocery industry, from the largest factory through the supply chain and to the smallest of stores is eligible for help through Grocery Aid's freephone confidential Welfare Helpline.
To qualify for Grocery Aid's financial assistance, an individual needs to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 10 years working in the grocery industry
- No more than £12,000 in savings/capital (does not include property)
- Able to demonstrate a degree of financial hardship
It can help both full-time and part-time workers and partners are also eligible. Both partners can be beneficiaries if they satisfy the criteria. The benefit can transfer to spouses and long-term partners on the death of the beneficiary.

Grocery Aid also provides emotional support and advice, health and wellbeing support, relationship counselling, legal advice, debt advice, carers support, and gambling support.
