Norfolk Young Farmers and Countrysiders Club
Norfolk YFC was formed in March 1944 to provide support to rural young people. In its early days these young people were predominately from farming families, but this soon changed as the programme of activities widened and therefore its appeal to young people, "you don't have to be a farmer, to be a young farmer!"
Currently we have 26 clubs across the County, all valuing their members and their attributes. Our main aim is to enable our members to develop and learn new skills, to encourage integration, and enhance personal well-being, self-esteem and confidence whilst having fun.
11 of our clubs are Young Farmers clubs for ages 14–26. We also have 15 Countrysider Clubs which are the junior section, for ages 10–16 and are organised by a club leader.
