Tooting and Balham Sea Cadets

The sea cadets' aim is to help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

Through adventurous activities they become self reliant, and through team work they develop consideration and respect for others. The Corps also encourages high personal standard, and a sense of purpose, and provides a sound foundation for future careers.

At Tooting  they compete and train in a variety of activities including Sailing, Kayaking, Pulling, Windsurfing, Drill and Ceremonial, First Aid, Seamanship, Cook Steward, Writer/Stories, Communications, Marine and Electrical Engineering, Piping, Camping, Musician and Drumming, Duke of Edinburgh, Swimming and much much more
 
For young people aged 10 – 18 years.
 
Young people can:

  • learn discipline;
  • take part in a wide variety of activities; and
  • make friends and socialise.
