Costs

Details
There is a ‘per person’ fee. Where a young person qualifies for support from Social Services this may be funded by the Local Authority. Alternatively this may be met privately. We will advise you on who to approach within your Local Authority if you don’t have a social worker. If you already receive Direct Payments from Social Services then you will be responsible for meeting the costs of the course.

Availability

Referral Details

Young people can self-refer- request an application form from the email address in the ‘contact us’ section. If you have a social worker please speak with them about this and if you don’t please contact your Local Authority and request an assessment.

If parents/carers/professionals know a young person who may be interested they must ask the young person to complete the application/to be supported to complete it. We also hold information sessions which are advertised on our website www.care-trade.org

Other notes

This service is for young adults aged 18-30 years old, with a diagnosis of autism living in London. A young person must be able to demonstrate that they are ‘work ready’ and has a desire to gain paid employment. If a young person is not work ready and is under the age of 25 they may wish to apply for a place on The Autism Project (a separate CareTrade service).

We also provide Autism Awareness Training to employers of people with autism or who are interested in providing work experience opportunities.
