Wandsworth's WAND Card and WAND+ Card are convenient forms of ID, indicating that the holder is either a Wandsworth resident or 'looked after' by Wandsworth, they are a member of the Children with Disabilities Register (CDR) and they have a high level of special educational needs, disabilities or complex health needs.
The WAND Card is for children and young people under 18 years old with special educational needs, disabilities or complex health needs. To have a WAND Card you need to be a member of Wandsworth's Children with Disabilities Register (CDR).
The WAND card team, which includes our award winning Parent Champions have negotiated lots of WAND Card offers with local business and services. At present these mostly just apply to WAND card holders. We are negotiating with the WANDmakers about extending them to WAND+ card holders and looking at other, age appropriate offers, for WAND+ card holders.
The WAND+ Card is for young people 18 to 24 years old with special educational needs, disabilities or complex health needs.
These cards can help to avoid the need for lengthy explanations when asking for existing concessions and assistance within the borough.
