Welcome to Wandsworth Council's Early Help Hub

Early Help Hub

This Early Help Hub aims to help practitioners working with children and families to identify services that will support them.

‘It is important that children receive the right help at the right time.  For that to happen, everyone who comes in contact with them has to play a role in identifying concerns early, sharing information, and taking prompt, informed action.’

(Working Together to Safeguard Children 2012)

Quality Assurance of EHA

Please note that the Wandsworth Safeguarding Board has agreed that where a service receives a poor quality EHA they should contact the referrer and say what additional information should be provided.  If the service does note provide the information requested then the EHA should be returned for the referrer to completed appropriately.

This is a Wandsworth Safeguarding Children’s Board decision not EHITS.

The Early Help Hub menu (see left) lists support services for a wide range of areas and includes services run by the local authority, health and the voluntary sector.

The Wandsworth Early Help Strategy sets out the council’s key objectives to ensure early support improves outcomes for children and how this will be quality assured.  The Guide to Early Help Processes sets out the framework, processes and policies in place to support staff and families to work together as soon as difficulties emerge for a child in order to improve outcomes for the child.

This Early Help Hub has been developed to support practitioners, by providing information on the range of services that make up the local offer, how to access those services and the expected outcomes for children and families. All related policies, processes and guides can be found by clicking on the advice links (see right).
