European families need to act now to secure their rights in the UK after Brexit

All European nationals - including their children born in the UK or abroad - and the non-EU family members of EU nationals need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme before 30 June 2021 as they don’t have automatic rights to continue living in the UK beyond this date.

They are urged to apply in order to secure their right to live, work, study and receive benefits and services after Brexit.

The information leaflet available online here provides detailed information on eligibility, the application process, the rights given by each status, and status management and aftercare.

Wandsworth Council works in partnership with Citizens Advice Wandsworth to provide information and support to those living, working or studying locally and that need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.

The EU Project advice service at Citizens Advice can provide interpreters for those who do not speak English and can also advise on other issues such as benefits, housing, employment and many more. The service is free, accredited, and confidential and can be accessed in a number of ways:
