If you are in debt, you've come to the right place. Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a charity that gives free debt help to anyone in debt. Thousands of people have already been given hope and a solution.
CAP will help anyone regardless of their age, gender, faith or background.
The service is really in-depth and long term. Clients are visited in their homes. We contact all the creditors on behalf of the client and negotiate with them, working out a way forward for each person. We deal with the banks, councils, credit card companies and payday loan companies every day, gaining their respect. We then support clients as they work their way out of debt, or if the amount is too large, offer insolvency options.
The Altrincham centre covers clients in the WA14, WA15 and M31 postcodes. The centre is based at The Hub Community Centre, Pownall Road, Altrincham, WA14 2SZ. There are other centres covering other areas- please refer to the CAP website www.capuk.org for details.
UPDATE-due to demand the centre is temporarily paused for new referrals. Please contact CAP Headquarters on free phone 0800 328 0006 for further information of where else to seek help. If you require further information about the service or for general enquiries then you can contact the Altrincham Debt Centre on 07894 728884. The service is due to re-open to new referrals in early 2020.
A weekly DropIn for potential new clients and current clients with free lunch provided runs each Monday term time only 12.00-1.00pm
