Laugh and Learn Tutoring

I am an experienced and qualified teacher having taught for over 20 years.  I am a warm and friendly person and have been told many times that I bring out the best in children. I have taught children of all abilities and have always raised their achievements and confidence in themselves. Although the majority of my work has been with being secondary teaching, I also taught primary and special educational needs children in various settings.

I specialise in 1:1 tutoring in literacy, maths and entrance exams. I also teach Turkish at all levels.

I have got a master degree in special education and I am a specialist for children with learning disabilities as well as autism.

I am up to date with the early years and primary curriculum and the requirements for entrance examinations to local schools.

I have worked with children and their families for many years and believe that children need to feel happy and secure in their environment. I, therefore, offer 1:1 tuition at my home at a realistic pace that develops child’s self-confidence and knowledge. I love working alongside children on a daily basis, there is nothing quite like seeing a child thrive and develop. I ensure that each session is engaging and raises confidence and self-esteem incorporating multi-sensory and ICT based resources where appropriate. Verbal feedback is provided at the end of every session with 'next steps' learning outlined. Over the years as a tutor and a classroom teacher, I have enabled children to receive the support and extra boost that they needed to ensure they achieved their full potential.
If you are looking for a tutor who works with you at your own pace you are in the right place. I am a patient and positive teacher who enjoy working with motivated students at all level.

I would love to offer my skills to enrich others lives so please get in touch to find out more.
