Dawlish Gardens Trust (DGT)

Dawlish Gardens Trust (DGT Devon) is a charity for people with learning disabilities, sensory and hidden impairments.  

At DGT adults can participate in a range of work experiences in a safe and supervised environment.  These experiences include:

• horticulture
• woodwork
• catering
• conservation
• music
• art and craft 
• garden machinery maintenance 
• site maintenance projects.  

All staff at DGT are qualified in their areas of expertise.

Individual abilities are assessed on entry; targets are agreed and progression mapped for all attendees.  Regular reviews are held to include parents/carers and other agencies where end destinations are identified using person centred planning.   If appropriate, travel training and life skills are available.
