Access Keys

We haven't used access keys as they can often interfere with the default keyboard shortcuts of modern browsers. The content is easily tab-navigable and screen-reader friendly. We have tried to make our site as accessible as possible.

Visual Support

Point Widget - Point Widget is a piece of software that we have installed on the website and this is set to automatically come on for everyone who uses the site. The widget works when a user hovers their mouse pointer over a word, the word displays an orange box around it and after a couple of seconds, a symbol or number of symbols appear which describes the word, helping the user to understand that particular word. If you do not wish to use this function, you can click the Turn Point Symbols off on the top bar.

Speak Me - this function, once activated, allows the user to hear the text from the screen read out to them. This software also allows the user to hear the text from the site read in a different language by selecting which language they require.

Language Support

There a couple of ways that users can change the language on the website:

Speak Me - this function, once activated, allows the user to hear text on the screen read out to them. There is a button within this software that allows the user select the language they need.

Google Languages - this function allows the user to translate the whole site to a language of their choice.
