Aldham Parish Council

A Parish Council is the "lowest" tier in the structure of local government. It does not have many statutory powers, but it provides the opportunity for individual parishioners to offer guidance or comment on current issues and future legislation.
Aldham Parish Council currently meets 4 times a year. There are 5 Parish Councillors, and our meetings are also attended by a Police representative, our County Councillor and our District Councillor. All parishioners are welcome to attend and there is always an opportunity to make comments and ask questions.
The Annual Parish Meeting is a further opportunity to review the past year and any matters of concern or interest.
Aldham Parish Council is firmly non-political and tries hard to apply a "light touch" and a responsible influence on matters of concern to the parish. All councillors are unpaid.
If you would like any further information please contact our Clerk, or see details in the Elmsett and Aldham monthly newsletter.
