Walton Parish Nursing, Felixstowe
Walton Parish Nursing is a service provided jointly by Maidstone Road Baptist Church, Felixstowe Methodist Church at Seaton Road and St Mary's Church Walton Felixstowe. The service includes health promotion and screening, leg and foot care, an chair based exercise class, support for carers, transport to medical appointments, work with children and families, referral to other agencies, support with enabling activities, both at home and community-based, making sense of medical information, prayer support and an opportunity to discuss spiritual needs, work with those with long-term conditions, drops- in clinics, health promotion in group sessions, increasing and maintaining safety and independence in the home and support with mental and emotional health.
Walton Parish Nursing runs three drop in clinics. One at the Community Hub in Wadgate Road's Pop-Up Shop on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month,11.00am (shop is open every week at 11.00am), one for residents at Collimer Court in Walton, once a month (date on notice board at Collimer Court). One at the Community Hub in Wadgate Road every Thursday from 10.30am to 12.30pm Everyone is welcome to any of the clinics no appointment is necessary.
Walton Parish Nursing also runs ' No Labels' at Seaton Road Methodist Church Hall on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month, 1.30-3.30pm for those experiencing issues with mental health and would like to meet in a supportive environment.
All our activities are free. The groups except chair based exercises are open to everyone. Chair based exercises are open to Walton residents only due to their popularity.
We provide home visits for individual assessment of needs and support.

There is no cost. The service is for all ages. It is for any one living in Walton, Felixstowe and/or anyone connected with the three Walton Churches. (Maidstone Road Baptist Church, Felixstowe Methodist Church at Seaton Road and St Mary's Church Walton). The groups are open to those living outside Walton except for the chair based exercise group.
