People with learning disabilities and autism

The Suffolk Learning Disability Partnership works to achieve the vision of people with learning disabilities living good ordinary lives as part of their community, with the right support, at the right time, from the right people.

The Suffolk Learning Disability Partnership is an independent partnership of self-advocates, family carers, health and social care commissioners, police, Healthwatch, voluntary organisations and housing providers.

The partnership works to implement the Suffolk Joint Learning Disability Strategy. The strategy says how people with learning disabilities and their families should be supported to live good ordinary lives in Suffolk.

For more information about the Strategy see: Suffolk Learning Disabilities Partnership

In response to the Strategy and this vision, some new offers have been co-produced in Suffolk to enable you to have a good life in Suffolk.  This includes a new Contractual Framework which has three parts:

  1. Employment Opportunities
  2. Day, Evening and Weekend Opportunities
  3. Planned Supported Breaks

We are delighted that many providers in Suffolk (as well as some in neighbouring Counties) have successfully bid to join this Contractual Framework.  This means that if you have been assessed by Suffolk County Council as eligible to receive a Personal Budget, you may choose Opportunities from these providers.
