Birchtree Practice-Rowlands Pharmacy Lawson Street

The Birchtree Practice is a specialist GP prescribing service for patients living in the Borough of Stockton on Tees.

Birchtree Practice was established to provide primary care and substitute prescribing services to Stockton residents experiencing a drug dependence problem, who are unable to access such services through their usual GP, or who are not registered elsewhere for GP services. It also provides a rapid response service to local criminal justice agencies dealing with drug dependent clients and takes over the care of non-drug dependent patients who have been removed from other GP lists under the NHS Violent and Threatening Behaviour Scheme.

The practice aims to provide a caring and non judgemental response to the range of medical, psychological and social problems that drug ald alcohol dependence can produce as well as addressing health concerns.
