Battlefield Heritage Park Shrewsbury

The Battle of Shrewsbury took place on this site in 1403.

The Battle of Shrewsbury 1403 was one of the bloodiest battles of English History fought between King Henry IV and Henry Tudor (commonly called Harry Hotspur). You can visit this medieval site, walking the Hotspur and Royal Trails, taking in the fish pools and Battlefield Church (Saint Mary Magdalene).

The church was built in the 1400's to commemorate the battle. It is open at weekends from May to September.

There is 2 circular routes at the site providing opportunities for able bodied and less mobile users with easy, level routes, wheelchair accessible
