This resource aims to support pupils who have difficulties managing strong feelings and managing their behaviour. It develops self-belief about the ability to change and equips pupils with the skills to change.
The anger management resource is a complete set of materials to enable a facilitator to deliver a six-week programme. It has been designed to cover eight elements, which fit within a 6-week half-term of weekly sessions.

Week 2: Session 2 Understanding feelings & Session 3 Self–esteem
Week 3: Session 4 Triggers and fuses
Week 4: Session 5 Learning to think differently
Week 5: Session 6 Physiology and relaxation
Week 6: Session 7 Strategies to manage anger & Session 8 Review and reinforce
The programme uses CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) principals to show that by changing the thought and the feeling, the behaviour can change.
