Friends of the Shropshire Hills AONB
Description:
The Friends of the Shropshire Hills AONB is a network which appeals to a wide range of people with a common interest in the beautiful Shropshire Hills landscape, its wildlife, heritage, culture and well-being.
Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Shropshire Hills cover almost a quarter of the county and include well known landmarks such as the Long Mynd, Stiperstones, Wrekin and Wenlock Edge. The purpose of the designation is to conserve and enhance the natural beauty.
Becoming a Friend is an easy way to support conservation in the Shropshire Hills. Subscriptions go directly into the AONB Conservation Fund, which supports local projects aiming to conserve the Shropshire Hills landscape, its diverse wildlife and rich heritage.
