Dial-a-Ride Scheme (Shrewsbury)
Description:
Shrewsbury Dial-a-Ride is a fully accessible transport service operating within a ten mile radius of Shrewsbury town centre.
If you do not have the use of a car or you find it difficult or even impossible to use public transport, then this is the service for you.
Dial-a-Ride:
- is able to help people with mobility difficulties both registered and temporarily disabled
- operates Monday to Friday: 8.45am to 3.30pm
- provides a friendly door-to-door service
- drivers are all fully trained and CRB checked
- offers a priority booking service for journeys required for medical purposes
- requires members to be flexible about all non-urgent journey times
- needs all journeys to be booked in advance
- asks for an annual membership fee of £15
- charges a £1 fare for each journey
- concessionary fares apply using travel passes and travel tokens
Dial-a-ride also provides a regular programme of Sunday Lunches.

MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme)
PATS (Passenger Assistant Training Scheme)
Both schemes offer full training and certification both for Dial-a-Ride and other organisations.
