Shropshire Rural Community Council (RCC): Community Council of Shropshire CCS
Shropshire Rural Community Council (RCC) is an operating name of the Community Council of Shropshire. Shropshire RCC, established nearly 50 years ago, is an independent charity working to meet unmet need in the community by encouraging voluntary and community action.
The main roles are to support the development of strong communities and community organisations, to monitor and influence policy making and through this, to build sustainable rural communities.
As a part of their work with local communities the Community Council of Shropshire holds and maintains information about the facilities available in village and community halls in Shropshire, including contact details if you want to find out about making a booking.
The Community Council works in conjunction with the Community Buildings Advisory Group to offer advice and information on the buildings, management and financial aid available for village halls.
For full details of the services offered by the Community Council, follow the link to the Community Council of Shropshire website. For a village hall search, click on Community Buildings on their Home Page and then Community Buildings Search.
The Community Council of Shropshire is included in the Self Help section of the Directory because the website contains information about several carers' groups.
