Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with the latest government announcement regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, users should be aware of the instruction to stay at home, and to only leave the house for food, health reasons or essential work. You should also stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people.

In light of this, the groups, clubs and societies listed within the Shropshire Community Directory will be unable to meet until further notice, and there may be a reduced service for other local and national organisations.

CRUSH is all about helping young people make safe, healthy relationships.

CRUSH is a structured and interactive programme of group support for young people in the age range of 13- 19 years old who have witnessed, experienced or are affected by domestic abuse. The programme is designed to enable young people to safely explore the dynamics of abusive relationships through a focus on fictional characters and their life situations. CRUSH  was developed by, and is copywritten to, West Mercia Women’s Aid.

CRUSH places emphasis on establishing a confident understanding of what makes a healthy relationship,   of approaches to making positive choices about teen relationships, and  of strategies to ensure that young people can break out of destructive relationships and keep themselves safe. The programme is suitable both for those vulnerable to domestic abuse and to those who are beginning to show signs of controlling and abusive behaviour.

If you wold like to find out more about CRUSH then please call WMWA Helpline on 0800 783 1359 and they will arrange for a child/young people’s worker to call back.
