Association for Post Natal Illness provides a telephone helpline, information leaflets for sufferers and healthcare professionals as well as a network of volunteers who themselves have experienced post natal illness.

The function of the association can basically be defined by three areas of activity. Support, Education and Information.

Support - Women can contact volunteers by phone or email which gives them someone to talk to.

Education - The Association has produced a leaflet which describes post-natal depression. It makes women more aware of the illness without alarming them.

Information - The Association has a publication called Post Natal Depression. This explains the symptoms of the illness and gives idea of the treatment available.
