Child Bereavement UK

Description:

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. Every year Child Bereavement UK train almost 7000 professionals, helping them to better understand and meet the needs of grieving families.

In the UK, when a baby or child dies, or a child is bereaved, many of those affected are unable to access good quality support which meets their individual needs. Child Bereavement UK believes all families should have the support they need to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

Child Bereavement UK offer:

  • Face-to-face support to individuals, families and couples as well as booked telephone support.
  • Support groups for adults, children and young people where individuals can meet others who have also been bereaved.
  • A national support and information telephone line offering a free confidential listening service for anyone wishing to talk about bereavement of for those looking for advice and guidance.
  • Support is available to self-referrals and third part referrals, please note that third party referrals have to have the permission of the individual to refer them to the service.
