Shrewsbury Castle & The Soldiers of Shropshire Museum

Description:

Shrewsbury Castle originally dates from the 1070s, but was restored in the 18th century by Thomas Telford, who also built Laura’s Tower in the grounds. 

It now houses the Soldiers of Shropshire Museum, where displays of pictures, uniforms, medals, weapons and other equipment can all be seen. 

The Castle Grounds also host a varied programme of summer events.
