Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with the latest government announcement regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, users should be aware of the instruction to stay at home, and to only leave the house for food, health reasons or essential work. You should also stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people.

In light of this, the groups, clubs and societies listed within the Shropshire Community Directory will be unable to meet until further notice, and there may be a reduced service for other local and national organisations.

For further information, please contact the individual groups or organisations listed.

Emma Edge

Home based care for your child in a stimulating yet warm and caring environment. Your child will receive home from home care which includes involvement in activities such as baking, gardening and family mealtimes (all healthy, home cooked and valued as an important part of family life). Your child will benefit from one to one, consistent care whilst also forming friendships with other children in the setting and beyond. Outside of the daily routine there is a planned schedule of activities including toddler groups, arts and crafts and outings. The setting is on the outskirts of Whitchurch with easy access to the centre whilst enjoying the space of a rural location. For peace of mind that your child will be happy and secure then arrange a visit when Emma will happily show you around, show you her hand book and answer any questions that you may have. Local offer: The setting is based in a private house and therefore may not be suitable for children with certain additional needs or disabilities, while we will endeavour to accommodate each individual child's needs this may not be practical or possible. If it is in the child's best interests to find care in another setting we will help parents in any way we can. For children who attend the setting their individual needs will be assessed at the start of their care and all parties, parents, children and myself will be involved in discussions to ensure the care provided is in the child's best interests. Permission will be sought from the parents to discuss ongoing needs with other professionals concerned with the child's care or to gain advice or further help from them if needed. All children will be treated with respect and their individual needs given regard at all times through respectful and sensitive interaction between the adults in the setting and the other children who are cared for. Assessments on all children will be undertaken on a regular basis and these will be discussed with the parents, any concerns which may arise will be dealt with by introducing a strategy which will ensure the child's welfare and development needs are being met at all times. I am the SENCO for this setting and will liaise with parents and any professionals.
