Mencap works collaboratively, fighting for equal rights, campaigning for greater opportunities, and challenging attitudes and prejudice.  They also run programmes and services that range from round-the-clock care to providing advice and information on things like employment and education, helping someone to live independently for the first time, and running projects and programmes to promote inclusion.

Mencap’s Learning Disability Helpline is a free helpline service offering advice and support for people with a learning disability, and their families and carers.  Mencap’s advisors are available Monday to Friday, from 9am to 3pm.  You can get in touch by phoning 0808 808 1111 or using the helpline email address provided.
