Passenger Assistants may be used on council contracted school taxis and buses and a individual's need for a Passenger Assistant will form part of the application process. A passenger assistant may be provided where the passenger has a significant disability which requires possible medical intervention as highlighted by the Transport Risk Assessment Officer. 

A passenger assistant may also be provided  where the child has social, emotional or behavioural need which would raise concerns about the well being of the pupil, or that of other passengers or staff should a passenger assistant not be present.

Your child may require a Passenger Assistant to travel with them to School or they will be supervising  a number of children on the bus, to apply to access this service please complete an application for travel assistance.
