Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with the latest government announcement regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, users should be aware of the instruction to stay at home, and to only leave the house for food, health reasons or essential work. You should also stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people.

In light of this, the groups, clubs and societies listed within the Shropshire Community Directory will be unable to meet until further notice, and there may be a reduced service for other local and national organisations.

For further information, please contact the individual groups or organisations listed.

The Stop It Now! UK and Ireland helpline

The Stop It Now! UK and Ireland helpline is available for anyone with concerns about child sexual abuse.  It is run by The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, and is the only UK-wide child protection charity dedicated solely to preventing child sexual abuse.

There helpline is free and confidential and is available to:

  • adults worried about the sexual behaviour of other adults or children and young people
  • people worried about their own sexual thoughts or behaviour towards children, including those with concerns about their online behaviour
  • friends and relatives of people arrested for sexual offending, including internet offending
  • any other adult with a concern about child sexual abuse - including survivors and professionals

They believe that child sexual abuse is preventable and that all adults have a role to play in protecting children from sexual harm. This can be best achieved when adults are alert to the signs of child sexual abuse, including the behaviour that someone who might pose a risk to children can display, and knowing where they can seek help and advice.
