Embroiderers' Guild (Oswestry and District Branch)
The Embroiderers' Guild is a well-known and respected education charity. Founded over 100 years ago, it exists to promote, preserve and protect all aspects of embroidery.
The Guild holds museum status and owns an extensive and important collection of embroideries from all over the world.
Meetings of the Oswestry and District Branch are held monthly at 10am, usually on the third Friday. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in textiles. New members and visitors welcome.
The branch programme includes talks or demonstrations on a wide variety of embroidery and related topics. There are occasional stitching evenings and a programme of day schools.
