Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In accordance with the latest government announcement regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, users should be aware of the instruction to stay at home, and to only leave the house for food, health reasons or essential work. You should also stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people.

In light of this, the groups, clubs and societies listed within the Shropshire Community Directory will be unable to meet until further notice, and there may be a reduced service for other local and national organisations.

For further information, please contact the individual groups or organisations listed.

UK Lung Cancer Coalition (UKLCC)

Description:

The UK Lung Cancer Coalition (UKLCC) is the UK’s largest multi-interest group in lung cancer and was established in 2005 to help bring lung cancer out of the political, clinical and media shadow.  They are a campaigning group and not a patient group, though many of their members are patient organisations.

The UKLCC was set up with the founding ambition of tackling poor survival outcomes, and specifically to double 5-year survival by 2015, which has now effectively been achieved (in England).  The UKLCC is now calling for governments, commissioners and the health care community to re-double efforts and work together to raise 5-year rates to 25% by 2025 across the UK.
