Shropshire Way

Description:

Shropshire has over 3,500 miles of rights of way, and a quarter of the county is designated as the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Long distance routes run through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes to be found anywhere in Britain.  A land with wild borderland hills traversed by Offa's Dyke to the rolling fields and deep gorges through which the Severn Way passes on its way to Bristol.  The county also has some of the best circular walks in the Country.

The Shropshire Way is renowned as not only the finest route around the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, but also the best possible set of day walks.

Each mile is the result of a labour of love by local walkers, who catalogued their favourite footpaths, suggested beguiling little deviations, and even shared their favourite ‘private’ views.  These were then linked together to form a route to delight and entertain walkers.

Follow the links for further information about The Shropshire Way and walking in Shropshire.

The walk also has a Facebook page where people may post information about which part of the walk they have done, what were their thoughts and add their own photographs.
