A4U - Disability Advice Centre (Formally DIAL)

Description:

A4U provide free, confidential and impartial information, advice and advocacy on all aspects of disability, to people with disabilities, their families and carers as well as health and social care professionals.

What we do:

  • Providing support to empower people with disabilities of all ages, their families and carers.
  • We help people to understand their options, make informed decisions and take action to support independent living.
  • Weekly drop in at the Shropshire Autism Hub for help, advice and support for both peers and carers of autism and Asperger's.

  • We have offices in Shrewsbury and Telford
  • Advice line is open during office hours and an answer phone for out of hours.
  • Advice sessions are available Monday to Friday by appointment but may not be available on a drop-in basis due to staff availability.

Placements for social workers from Keele and Wolverhampton University.How can we act on your behalf Challenging Department of Work & Pensions, HM Customs & Revenue, Care in the Community decisions and representing clients at tribunals.
