Women's Aid

Description:

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children.

It is a lifesaving federation of frontline domestic abuse services, supporting women and children at the most challenging times of their lives.

Women's Aid services offer expert advice and support for survivors of domestic abuse by domestic abuse support workers. These services are all now online:

  • Women's Aid Live Chat (instant messaging service)
  • Women's Aid email service
  • Survivors’ Forum
  • The Survivors’ Handbook
  • General information and support on domestic abuse.

Women’s Aid has been at the forefront of shaping and coordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse through practice for over 45 years.  They aim to improve society’s response to domestic abuse to ensure that every survivor gets the support they need, whoever and whenever they ask for help.
