The Outdoor Partnership Team manages two Country Parks, The Mere at Ellesmere and Severn Valley Country Park in Alveley, as well as 22 countryside and heritage sites, and the extensive Rights of Way network which covers Shropshire.

Discover the fantastic countryside, exceptional views and wonderful wildlife.  Explore Shropshire's Country Parks and heritage sites or get active on 5,600 km of Public Rights of Way (that’s the same distance as Shrewsbury to New York … on your doorstep).

On their website you will find lots of promoted routes for walking, cycling and riding across the county, from The Shropshire Way to Walking with Offa, plus there are details of other fantastic activities you can do in the great outdoors, from archery to paragliding.

Join and sign up to the new Shropshire’s Great Outdoors Membership Scheme to support the management of Country Parks and Countryside Heritage Sites, and to help improve Rights of Way.  If you would like to get more involved you can find out about their volunteering opportunities available across the County from the Shropshire’s Great Outdoors website.
