Shropshire Peer Counselling and Advocacy Service (PCAS)
Description:
The purpose of the Shropshire Peer Counselling and Advocacy Service (PCAS) is to enable disabled people to maintain personal independence. PCAS is an advocacy service for people who live in Shropshire or Telford and Wrekin boroughs with physical disability, sensory impairment, learning difficulties, mental health issues, acquired brain injury, Asperger's syndrome or Alzheimer's.
This is accomplished using paid advocates, who provide information and support to people with a range of disabilities to help them make informed choices.
PCAS visits clients in their own homes, offering long term support if it is needed.
