Triple A Coaching

Triple A is an intensive one-to-one programme of lifestyle coaching, mentoring and supporting young people under the age of 25 with Asperger’s or Autism Syndrome.  Work has its own unique set of routines, rules and behaviours.  These are often difficult for a person with Asperger’s or Autism to understand and abide by, making it difficult for them to find and keep a job.

What you get

A free dedicated lifestyle coach, who support you to cope with everyday situations, to raise your aspirations in order to prepare you for employment.

PossAbilities Homeshare

Homeshare brings together people that need a little social support and have a spare room, with others who need affordable accommodation and are willing to support the householder.

Who is the service for?

Our service is available to anyone over the age of 18. We are able to support couples, families and people who live alone. We also work to support householders with dementia and would assess each referral on an individual basis.

How do we support you?

Our aim is to reduce loneliness and social isolation, enable older people to stay at home for longer and remain independent, support people in finding affordable, quality accommodation and to match and monitor our Homeshares. We provide initial support, carrying out DBS checks, obtaining references to ensure suitability.

We match people carefully by taking into account hobbies, beliefs, likes and dislikes and we continually monitor the relationship throughout the placement. We are on hand should they need any support, if there is conflict or any issues occur.

For further information please contact 01706 626747 or email homeshare@possabilities.org.uk.

Respite, breaks and supported holidays

The aim of the service is to provide respite for parents and carers and a pleasurable break from home for the individuals that they care for. We actively promote independence, choice, dignity, privacy and safety.

Who is it for?

Anyone with a learning or physical disability or other needs who is a resident of Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton or Manchester.

How to Access the Service

Referrals to our Respite Services come from a variety of health care professionals including social workers, district nurses or care managers. Families and individuals can access the service direct by contacting Harelands House. Once a referral is received, a manager from PossAbilities Respite Services will arrange an initial visit to the house for the person, usually with whoever referred them, and their family member / carer.
