Scamps Pre-School and Nursery

Scamps Nursery offers a safe, loving, friendly and caring environment for all children between the ages of 2 and 4 years of age, we are her not only to support your child, but we also pride ourselves on offering extra help or advice to other family members should you need it.
We support children's language by allowing children to learn through play using natural resources wherever possible and following th 'Curiosity Approach' We use a range of resources such as Welcomm, Jolly Learning Phonics and BLAST (Boosting Language Auditory Skills and Talking)
We use an online portal for your chilld's learning and development which you ann access 24/7 and input with your childs learning or experiences when at home or with family.
All the staff are qualified above the required levels and we are registered as a GOOD setting with Ofsted.
We have a lovely outdoor area with its own magic garden and climbing area, we'd love you to come and see for yourselves, visits are always welcome.
What we do
We encourage physical development through dance and by being able to climb ropes, ladders and trees in our 'magic' garden, we love being outside and enjoy going for for walks in our local area, sometimes catching the bus to go further afield.
Scamps children are grouped by school age,
- 2 year olds are in the Daisy Group (pre-pre-school year)
- 3 year olds are in the Poppy Group (pre-school year)
- 4 year olds are in the Sunflower Group (Nursery Year)
Every child and their family is unique, as are their needs, as such, each child will settle in and learn different skills at a different pace, we always bear this in mind when your child starts with us at Scamps. We will work with you and take your lead as the main carer and educator of your child.
Scamps offers an open door policy to all parents and carers and staff will always make themselves available to provide feedback on your child's learning and development, we will hold termly meetings with yourselves to keep you as update on your child's progress in all areas of learning.
