Happy Jacks Children's Day Nursery

Happy Jacks early years practitioners are highly qualified, experienced, friendly and approachable. If you have a concern or just want to ask a question then someone is always happy to help.

The Manager of Happy Jacks is also the Director, an Early Years Professional with a BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies and interacts with all children, staff and parents on a daily basis ensuring individual needs are met which helps create a happy and safe environment.

Our preschool is also run by an Early Years Professional with a BA Honours Degree and has the support of an experienced team to ensure all children learn to the best of their abilities and are ready for school by the time they leave.

What we do

In a happy, caring environment children are at their best and are quite happy to learn through play. Behind all the fun, games, messy play and stories, lies a framework which guides practitioners through the learning, development and care for children from birth to five. This framework is called the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We have a pre-school building for children aged 3 to 5 years. The provision helps to prepare children for their transition into reception class.

We are dedicated to providing care and education to children with disabilities and/or special educational needs and have an onsite SENCO to support children who need extra support.

Communicating with parents is an important part of what we do, making sure you get the correct information about activities, events and things that really matter is something we care about. To help us relay instant messages to parents we use an app called Parentmail.

We are dedicated to planning in the moment for children which enables us to really embed the teaching and learning through childrens current interests. Adult led activities focus on Sing and Sign, Looking and Listening and Letters and Sounds.
