Brightstars Childcare
About
We are an inclusive child focused setting which offers places for children 6 months plus. Our setting comprises of 3 considerably sized play rooms.
Our play rooms are Big Stars for our over 3's, Little Stars for our 2-3's and Tiny Stars for our under 2's (transisitions between rooms are based upon children's developmental levels and age). Each room has its own entrance/access to outdoor play. We offer continuous access to the outdoor area thoughout each session in all rooms (in all weathers). Each room also plan weekly outings as well as forest school sessions in local woodlands.
About our childcare provision
Tiny Stars is split into 2 areas and has an undercover outdoor play area. Indoors, children have access to a sensory/quietroom, construction and messy play.
Little Stars consists of 2 play areas, our 'stage' currently provides children with imaginative play opportunities. The main part of the room offers all children a range of play opportunities such as messy play, sand and water play, construction and small world.
Big Stars is the biggest playroom and consist of an ICT area, book area, sand, water and messy area, playdough making station and sensory den.
Outdoors we have a large playground and grassed area where children have access to water play, a construction area, bikes and trikes, a climbing frame, see saws, slides and much more.
As part of our daily routines in nursery children are actively encouraged to join in different hygiene/self help activities such as brushing thier teeth.
We have a highly dedicated, experienced team of which are level 2,3,4 and 6 qualified. All staff are trained in First Aid, Basic Child Protection, CAF, Basic Health and Safety and Behaviour Management.
We are working towards the High 5 award with Rochdale Council and hold a Gold Award with Golden Grin and Tooth Time.
We hold a level 5 food hygiene rating and currently work with Citation who oversee all our Health and Saftey management.
