Kids Out - The fun and happiness charity

About

We believe all children deserve fun and happiness in their lives and work every day to make it a reality. Whether they have escaped bad violence or live daily in poverty. KidsOut gives children with SEND across the UK more exciting memories to enjoy.

KidsOut offers five main services which are given nationally, please see below for more information.

National Rotary KidsOut Day

To make the National Rotary KidsOut Day the success that it is, more than 10,000 rotarians volunteer on the day at over 100 venues.

Whether they live with critical health issues, in refuge or with a disability, children across the country are taken on a fun day out to the zoo, a theme park or even the seaside, often for the first time in their lives.

We are always keen to expand the National Rotary KidsOut Day even further. If you would like to offer a venue or facility for the day please contact us.

Toy Box

Toy Box delivers a box of brand new toys and games to children who have been rehoused due to domestic violence.

Each Toy Box is both age and gender appropriate, filled with a family game, jigsaw puzzle, craft activity, action figure/doll, books and a cuddly toy. Receiving the Toy Box can help children regain a sense of normality, make the world seem a little kinder, and give them a reason to invite other children over to play.

Fun days

Fun Days takes disadvantaged children across the UK on a fun day out and helps them remember what it is like to just be children. Whether a trip to the theatre or a day at a theme park, Fun Days gives them something to look forward to and happy memories they can look back on.

Phyzzpod

Phyzzpod uses multi-sensory environments to help young children learn and explore creatively.

Particularly benefitting children with learning and physical disabilities, each Phyzzpod is a semi-portable sensory learning room that includes coloured lighting, bubble tubes, effects projectors, sound and video projection. By controlling these elements, children engage multiple senses and have more fun learning.

World stories

World Stories is a growing collection of 152 traditional and original stories from around the world representing the 21 most commonly spoken languages by children in the UK.

World Stories is an online resource that helps children improve their literacy and keep up in the classroom. With more than 100 stories in written and audio format, World Stories opens the world to children.
