Dickey Steps is set in the beautiful Lancashire countryside on the door step of Hollingworth Lake Country Park and is a family run business. We have horses and ponies to suite all capabilities ranging from beginners to the accomplished for riders from ages 4 and above.

What we do

We also offer the facility for lessons to improve horse riding technique, cross country, British Horse Society examinations and stable management.

Dickey Steps is open all year round with the exception of adverse weather conditions such as ice or snow.

In addition to a privately owned cross country area Dickey Steps Riding School has an 'all weather' outdoor floodlit menage (arena).

We offer Livery and overnight stabling for horse and riders accessing Pennine bridleways such as the Mary Townley loop.
