Hollin Nursery CIC

About

Hollin Nursery logo

We provide a welcoming environment for both children and parent/carers and offer a fully inclusive approach for anyone wishing to attend the nursery. We actively encourage parents to take part in events and share information with us so we are able to plan activities around family values and tradition.

What we do

We hold regular parent's evenings, fun days and take every opportunity to dress up and raise money for good causes. All our staff are qualified to at least a level three qualification and all hold current paediatric First aid, safeguarding and food hygiene certificates and allergy awareness. The nursery does close for at least 2 training days per year to enable all staff to complete training. We also have our own cook on the premises who prepares healthy meals and snacks we also share recipe ideads with parents who inturn share their food ideas with the cook.

We do trips around the local environment and the children take part in weekly forest fun sessions where they have learnt how to plant trees, build bird boxes, make bird feeders and go pond dipping. When in nursery the children have access to continuous outdoor provision, as well as a variety of toys and equipment to play with.

The children learn through play and staff providing fun activities that are in line with the EYFS. We also involve children in small group activities that help promote their social and communication skills. These are sing and sign, looking and listening, BLAST, letters and sounds and RENFREW. We ensure all activities suit every child's developmental needs and will adapt activities to stretch gifted children and can simplify if needed.

We take part in the High 5 Quality Assurance Award and have achieved the "highest" level.
