Early Help Assessment Training

Early Help Assessment (EHA) training is aimed at staff from both the children and adults workforce who in their day to day activity provides direct services to children, young people and/or parents/carers and will provide an overview of Rochdale Borough’s whole family approach to early help and support.

Who should complete the training?

There's no requirement for you to attend our training before completing an EHA or undertaking the role of lead professional, but we do recommend it.

What is covered in the training?

Early Help Assessment training includes:

  • An introduction to the Family Service Model (FSM).
  • When and how you can undertake an EHA.
  • How you can use our Children's Needs and Response Framework (CNRF).
  • What roles and responsibilities we have when we deliver Early Help support.
  • When and how you can lead a Team Around the Family (TAF) meeting.

How to book

If you're employed by Rochdale Borough Council:

  1. Sign in or register for a Training Records and Available Courses (TRAC) account on the Rochdale Borough Council.
  2. From your TRAC account, follow the instructions to book a place on an upcoming Early Help Assessment course.
  3. If you've any questions, please ring us on 01706 922414.

If you're not employed by Rochdale Borough Council:

  1. Download and complete the booking form under "Downloads".
  2. Email your completed form to learning@rochdale.gov.uk.
  3. We will contact you one week before the training date to confirm your place and give you the address where the training will take place.
