Carer's Assessment and support

If you provide unpaid care and support to a Reading adult (18 years+), you may be eligible for Carer's Support from Reading Borough Council's Social Care Services. If you care for a child, you may be eligible for support from Brighter Futures for Children.

If the person you care for lives outside the Borough of Reading you must ask their local Social Services department for a Carer’s Assessment.

Support for Young Carers

Brighter Futures for Children (BFfC) also supports children under 18 years who have extra responsibilities at home because of a disabled sibling or parent with support needs.
