Parenting Special Children - Adoptive Mum's Support Group
Parenting Special Children has set up a support group for adoptive parents of children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma.
Research shows that Adopters face unique challenges in their parenting that are often not understood by well-meaning family and friends.
Aims of the Support Group:
- Provide a safe and supportive environment to share experiences and explore the unique challenges faced by Adoptive parents
- Establish support/social networks for Adoptive parents
The support group runs alongside the Let’s Get Creative sessions for adopted children. Adoptive parents and carers are welcome to attend the sessions without a child attending Let’s Get Creative. Please book a parent/carer ticket on the Let’s Get Creative event - https://www.parentingspecialchildren.co.uk/courses/lets-get-creative/
If you would like further information please email admin@parentingspecialchildren.co.uk
Please note: The Support Group is only suitable for Parents/Carers. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide childcare, or accommodate children, unless otherwise stated.
