The Good Care Group - Award winning live in care

The Good Care Group  – quality care local to you.

The Good Care Group’s vision is to provide a high quality, professional home care service unique in the health and care market.

Whether you are looking for 24 hour live-in care or a respite service to allow a family carer to take a much needed break, we provide a one-to-one personalised service delivered by expertly trained professional carers. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) so you can be assured of the highest standards of care.

Why choose The Good Care Group?

Specialist care designed to promote health and emotional wellbeing for clients – we are experts in caring for specialist conditions, including dementia, Parkinson’s, MS, stroke care, cancer care and palliative care. Our holistic approach to care is highly person-centred, drawing on expertise from medical professionals. Care is monitored at the highest level and responsive to a client’s changing needs. Some clients may require a higher level of care, support and intervention than others due to the complexity of their needs. The High Needs service provides a nurse led service for complex care with an enhanced level of care management support and a highly skilled carer. This ensures a greater level of oversight, faster response to changing conditions and avoids crisis.

Our carers are employed and trained to the highest standards – we don’t use agency staff and our rigorous recruitment process means only 5% of carers who apply are successful. We attract and retain the best, paying them well and rewarding loyalty with share ownership.  Carers are expertly trained, receive on-going professional development which results in opportunities to expand their careers in care.

High level of care continuity through a dedicated care delivery team - we believe care continuity is better achieved through employing carers as companies using agency staff or self-employed staff are less able to control their staff and the quality of care. Our dedicated manager and carers will develop in depth knowledge of clients’ conditions and care needs.   Our rota design means a carers wellbeing is protected so they can deliver quality care.

We give maximum support for all the family giving you peace of mind – our service is fully managed, which means that we manage, support and pay the care team assigned to you.

The team manage fewer clients than our competitors, which not only allows better quality of care but importantly, close contact and support for families.  You will have 24/7 access to our advice and expertise - support which is generally not offered by agencies.

Our care services are professionally led, designed to mitigate risks – we recognise that caring for individuals with complex conditions carries risk. We have an extensive risk assessment process, our continual monitoring of clients conditions means risks are re-evaluated on an on-going basis to ensure the most appropriate care is provided to clients at any time.
