School Complaints - Parents Helpline

Every school has a complaints procedure which states the different stages that need to be completed when making a formal complaint about a school. The schools individual complaints procedures should be easily available on their websites.

For advice when considering complaining about a local Reading school that your child is attending, contact the School Complaints Parents Helpline. Tel: 0118 9372265

National organisation ACE - Advisory Centre for Education offer free independent advice and information for parents and carers in England and Wales on a range of state education and schooling issues. Tel: 0300 0115142.

Child Law Advice is run by Corams and can give advice on all aspects of the law affecting children including education. There is a useful section on their website Child Law Advice - Complaints to school. Their education law helpline number is Tel: 0300 330 5485
